Bike tour meeting in the lobby and the first confirmed thought I had about her besides liking the way her body looked was um well she didn't really speak like she was French, and there was some confusion I had via my eavesdropping like she lives in Switzerland or is from Switzerland and lives in France or. But her hair was slightly darkened blonde and she was really pretty all over. I guess there's like a French woman archetype, she fell into that. It was about enough to knock me over or kill me or whatever. When I got a chance to look closer at her face from an angle that was kind of behind her I was relieved to see a slightly odd angle to her nose, maybe, or some part of it. I feel ashamed for using the word nerdy but there it is. Completely gorgeous but imperfect, perhaps imperfect enough to like someone like me.

We're riding and some time goes by, and eventually we get pretty near again, I'm asking her some standard kind of questions, and she's in environmental engineering and yada yada. And there's some kind of tone in her voice which I'm enjoying and we're riding close and pretty slow and in synch, and I can get really near to her, to hear her better, and it feels good. And it's around that time I feel like I should tell her I that I think she's really pretty and I like her and then we could go frolick in the grass and make out or something but I don't.

And some time goes by and everything in my head starts sounding really mathy. Like I'm trying to solve an equation or something except it's a person who I like and it doesn't feel right. And it's turning and I'm feeling down. And I realize I'm exactly the same over here as I am back there.
